This study was conducted in Nagari Api-Api Pasar Baru, Bayang District, Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra. This study aims to analyze the roles of men and women in agriculture and the factors causing gender inequality. The study used a qualitative approach with Harvard model gender analysis. Primary data were obtained through interviews, while secondary data were taken from related agencies and literature. The results of the study show that men's roles are more dominant in agricultural work that requires physical labor, while women more often work as farm laborers with lower wages and limited involvement in decision-making. Although the Minangkabau customary system places land ownership in the hands of women, its management is still dominated by men. The low level of education of women also limits their access to agricultural resources, technology, and training. Differences in wages and workloads show significant gender bias. Cultural factors and gender stereotypes reinforce this inequality, hindering women's opportunities in the agricultural sector. Therefore, more inclusive policies are needed to improve women's access to resources and equal opportunities in decision-making, training, education, and agricultural technology to reduce gender gaps and improve the welfare of female farmers.
Yurike Yurike, Yudha Saktian Syafruddin Copyright (c) 2025 Yurike Yurike, Yudha Saktian Syafruddin https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://journal.literasisains.id/index.php/insologi/article/view/4809 Thu, 20 Feb 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Antara Teori dan Realitas: Refleksi Filosofis dan Interpretasi Kosmologi Kuantum https://journal.literasisains.id/index.php/insologi/article/view/4815
Einstein's General Theory of Relativity has revolutionized our understanding of gravity by replacing Newtonian gravitational law, which regarded gravity as an attractive force between two masses. In GR, gravity is seen as a manifestation of the geometry of spacetime, influenced by the distribution of mass and energy. This theory successfully explains phenomena such as the bending of light by massive objects and the prediction of the existence of black holes. Meanwhile, Quantum Mechanics, rooted in the works of Max Planck, Albert Einstein, Niels Bohr, and Werner Heisenberg, reveals a microscopic world filled with probabilities and uncertainties, as well as phenomena such as wave-particle duality and Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle. While both theories have successfully explained phenomena at macroscopic and microscopic scales, the inability to unify General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics remains a major issue in theoretical physics. The fundamental differences between them, particularly regarding the nature of spacetime and determinism, create challenges in formulating a theory of quantum gravity. Various approaches, such as Loop Quantum Gravity (LQG) and string theory, aim to unify these two theories, although they still face limitations in experimental verification. Quantum cosmology also opens up space for deeper philosophical reflections on the nature of reality, spacetime, determinism, and the role of the observer in determining physical existence, leading to questions regarding the meaning and purpose of the universe itself within its underlying probabilistic and uncertain framework.
M. Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by chronic hyperglycemia, namely loss of function of the body's organs, especially the eyes, kidneys, nerves, heart and blood vessels due to damage to insulin secretion. Diabetes mellitus cannot be cured but can be prevented and controlled through diabetes mellitus management such as diet, physical exercise, medication, counseling, and monitoring blood sugar. Whether the treatment of diabetes mellitus is successful or not depends on the sufferer himself. If you do not carry out good control discipline, your blood sugar levels will always be high and will cause various kinds of complications. Because the body does not have enough insulin hormone due to interference with insulin secretion, the insulin hormone does not work as it should or both. Considering the large negative impact of diabetes mellitus, it needs to receive sufficient attention. Therefore, additional food is needed that can maintain blood glucose levels in the body.
