Abstract

The implementation of an Environmental Management System based on ISO 14001:2015 requires organizational readiness in policies, resources, documentation, operational control, and performance evaluation. This study aims to analyze the readiness level of ISO 14001:2015 implementation at the Environmental Laboratory Unit of the Environmental Agency of Pangkalpinang City and identify aspects requiring improvement. A quantitative descriptive approach was applied using a questionnaire involving 15 employees selected through saturated sampling. The instrument consisted of 31 statements based on ISO 14001:2015 clauses 4–10. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, readiness percentage, and gap analysis. The results showed that the readiness level reached 96.61%, categorized as very high, with an average score of 3.86. Performance evaluation obtained the highest readiness level (98.33%), while organizational context, planning, and operational control required further strengthening. The findings indicate that the organization has a strong foundation for ISO 14001:2015 implementation, but improvements are needed in documentation, objective evidence, operational control, and continual improvement.
