Recurrent floods in Indonesia profoundly undermine the socio-ecological well-being of victims' families, disrupting the intricate balance of human-environment interactions and household social structures. This study rigorously dissects the determinants of such well-being in flood-prone regions like West Java, spotlighting post-disaster adaptation processes, socio-ecological resilience, and the pivotal role of community support in recovery. A qualitative methodology was employed, featuring a peer-reviewed systematic literature review augmented by thematic analysis grounded in Bronfenbrenner's socio-ecological framework. Key findings highlight severe disruptions to family welfare from ecological habitat destruction, intra-household conflicts fostering emotional strain, and constrained access to recovery resources like financial aid and infrastructure. In contrast, vital enablers—robust social networks and community-driven empowerment programs—elevate resilience by up to 40%, measured via comprehensive well-being indicators such as emotional stability and basic service access. These revelations stress the imperative for integrated policies that fuse sustainable environmental restoration, school- and family-based disaster preparedness education, and bolstering of family social capital to secure long-term prosperity. Notably, the research enriches curricula for character education and adaptive digital parenting strategies within national disaster mitigation frameworks.
